Episode 81

I Took Control—and It Cost Me $900 | Anchor Points | Ep. 81

A car wash taught me a very expensive lesson about control. I was supposed to leave the car alone and trust the track to carry us through. Instead, I panicked, put the car in drive, and ended up with a very noticeable reminder on the front of my car.

I do this with God too. He tells me to trust Him, but then something feels too slow, too uncertain, or too uncomfortable. So I grab the wheel.

The problem is, I can’t always see what He sees. Maybe trust sometimes looks exactly like staying put, releasing control, and believing that God knows how to guide us through what we can’t see.

Scripture (NIV):

Proverbs 3:5 — “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;”

Reflection Questions:

Where am I trying to take control right now?

What makes it difficult for me to trust God’s timing?

What would releasing the wheel look like today?
