Episode 39
Stop Saying “Just” About What You Do | Anchor Points | Ep. 39
Have you ever caught yourself saying, “I’m just a…”?
Just a mom. Just a teacher. Just a fill in the blank.
It sounds small—but it says more than we think.
In today’s Anchor Point, I’m reflecting on how easily we minimize what we do, even when those roles carry real purpose and meaning.
Because there’s nothing “just” about the way God has placed you.
What you do matters. Where you are matters.
And you don’t need to shrink it to make it sound more acceptable.
Scripture (NIV):
Colossians 3:23 — “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,”
Reflection Questions:
Do I tend to minimize what I do or who I am?
Why do I sometimes downplay my role?
What would change if I saw my work as meaningful and God-given?
