Before You Hit Reply… | Anchor Points | Ep. 73

Social media has a way of pulling me in. I read something I disagree with, and suddenly I’m ready to jump into the comments and set the record straight—as if my response is going to fix everything.

But sometimes defending what I believe can quietly turn into dividing. Hebrews 12:14 stopped me with a simple reminder: make every effort to live in peace. That doesn’t mean hiding our faith. It might just mean asking whether the response I’m about to give actually reflects the God I’m trying to represent.

Maybe today, before we hit reply, we can give God a moment to check our hearts first.

Scripture (NIV):

Hebrews 12:14 — “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.”

Reflection Questions:

What kinds of posts or conversations are hardest for me to walk away from?

Am I trying to prove a point or reflect Christ?

What would choosing peace look like today?
