The Obsession That Reveals Your True Identity | Anchor Points | Ep. 72

We can be incredibly loyal to our favorite sports teams. We rearrange our schedules, invite people over, wear the colors, and make sure we never miss the game. Once we choose a team, we are often committed for life.

I am a Ravens fan, and that is not changing. But it makes me wonder what would happen if I brought that same passion, loyalty, and commitment into my relationship with Christ.

God does not ask for a small corner of our lives. He invites us to love Him with our whole heart, soul, and strength. Maybe our dedication to the things we enjoy can remind us of the deeper devotion our hearts were created for.

Scripture (ESV):

Deuteronomy 6:5: “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.”
