The Spy Pigeon That Exposed Our Biggest Flaw | Anchor Points | Ep. 68

Is there anyone we can completely trust outside of Jesus Christ? Apparently, even the pigeons might require a little caution.

A pigeon was once detained after authorities became suspicious of markings attached to its legs. After months of investigation, they learned it was not a spy at all. It was a racing bird that had traveled a very long way from home.

The story makes me laugh, but it also reminds me how quickly we can build conclusions around limited information. Things are not always what they first appear to be. Our understanding has limits, but God’s does not. That is why our deepest trust belongs in Him.

Scripture (ESV):

Proverbs 3:5: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”
