What the Night Sky Confirms About Your Mind | Anchor Points | Ep. 71

When was the last time you stepped outside at night and looked up at the stars? Sometimes I lie down on the deck when the house is quiet and simply take in the sky.

It feels peaceful and overwhelming at the same time. The sky is so vast that it reminds me how much bigger Godโ€™s creation is than the small part I can see. Every new discovery seems to reveal how much more there is to learn.

Science does not make me feel like God is smaller. It reminds me how limited my understanding is and how incredible it is that God gave us minds that want to discover. Take a moment to step outside, look up, and remember the One who created it all.

Scripture (ESV):

Psalm 19:1: โ€œThe heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.โ€

Reflection Questions:

  • When was the last time I slowed down to notice Godโ€™s creation?
  • Does discovery increase my wonder or make me uncomfortable?
  • What does the night sky remind me about God?
